General Membership Meetings and Programs- September 2007- May 2008
Membership meetings and programs are open to invited guests and members of other garden clubs. Our club meets on the second Monday of each month in the Medford Leas Auditorium at 9:30 am. If attending, please follow signs for "Event Parking". The Pinelands Garden Club sign will be outside the entrance to the auditorium.

September 10th- PROGRAM: "Bees"

Stephen and Nancy Alexeichik, Owners, Mill Creek Apiary, Medford Lakes, will discuss the importance of bees in our environment and exhibit an active hive, honey and beeswax products.
Designs in Miniature: Demonstration of Miniature Designs by Master Judges Jane Bersch, Deirdre Gross and Bonnie Nichols



October 8th- PROGRAM: "Creative Container Combinations for the Autumn and Winter Months"

Karl Gercens, Noted Ornamental Horticulturist at Longwood Gardens will speak.


November 12th- PROGRAM: "Hunters of the Sky"

Terry Loy, Education Director, Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge, Medford will speak. A dramatic presentation with a hawk, an owl and a falcon will be used while learning about their natural history, habitat and preservation.


November 20th - 10:30 am -PROGRAM: Joint Meeting with Garden Clubs of Haddonfield and Moorestown

First Presbyterian Church, Bridgeboro Rd, Moorestown.

December 10th - 11:30 am - CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON, Braddocks Tavern, Main Street, Medford

Our club will hold its annual Christmas Luncheon. More information to follow.


January 14th- PROGRAM: "The Delight of Herbal Teas"

Maria Bohle, owner of The Herb Garden in Egg Harbor Township, will discuss herbal teas and their properties. Six different herbal teas will be offered for tasting.


February 11th- PROGRAM: "Fun-damentals of Miniatures"

Mettie Fisher, National Garden Clubs Accredited Judge, frequent winner at the Phila. Flower Show, member of Garden Club of Trenton and Countryside Gardeners of PA will speak. A program on the design, mechanics and transportation of miniature design.


March 10th- PROGRAM: "Landscaping with Native Plants"

Russell Juelg, of the Pinelands Preservation Alliance, will provide and overview of the benefits of using native plants in the landscape. He will discuss some of the plants of S. Jersey that can add color and wonder to your garden.


April 14th- PROGRAM: “What Happened to our Food Supply: What it has to do with Disease”

Judy Mudrak, Food Specialist/Consultant/Author.


Tuesday, May 13th- PROGRAM: "Inspired by Nature"

Pinelands Garden Club Small Standard Flower Show
Open to the public from 1:00 to 8:00 pm


May 20th- Field Trip to Tuckerton Seaport



June 9th- 11:30 am - Spring Picnic at the home of Coleen Roberts
